Scriptless test development

ScenarioBuilder offers an easy-to-use, point-and-click interface. Simply double-click on any action in the left panel (i.e. type text or mouse click) to add it to your test scenario.

Action examples include:

  • Type text
  • Press function keys (like Tab, Enter, or Ctrl/Alt/Del)
  • Mouse click
  • Launch application
  • Find a specific window, close, move, or resize it
  • Find image (bitmap), or click on it

Working with variables

To add variables to your test scenario, you can link any CSV file. You can choose to call up any column of data in your test scenario (for example: employee names for a login) in sequential or random order. And you can even choose to encrypt data when passwords or other sensitive information is involved.

From simple to complex scenarios

Just because ScenarioBuilder offers a simple and straightforward interface, don’t think you’re limited to basic test scenarios. The tool lets you add complex if/then conditions, loops, and switches, and offers flexibility to support a wide range of testing needs and situations. The screen shot at left illustrates a sample portion of a more complex test scenario for testing a travel website.
