Host Outages
Host Outages allow you to stop Chroniker from monitoring specified hosts during the hours specified. Any uptime, downtime or alerts during these times will not be recorded in the stats or reports generated by Chroniker.
To specify an outage:
- Go to Setup -> Profiles & Outages -> Host Outages
- Host Outage Screen opens
- Click on Add New Outages button at the bottom of the screen. Then Outage Form launches
- Select the host where you need to apply the outage from the Host list, ctr + left mouse click to select multiple hosts. This Host must be applied to a monitor. TO know if a host is applied to a monitor, go to hosts page from setup menu, if the trash icon beside the host is black 'disabled' indicates that the host is used by a monitor.
Go to the monitor's edit page and select the host from Host/Server field. You don't need to do this for Nodes as their host is applied automatically. However, you need to select the host for all other monitors inorder to apply the outage to those monitors. - Specify the date and time range when the Outage will take place
- Add a note or a reason for the Outage taking place
- Click on Submit
